NNPC Bought Petrol from Dangote Refinery at N898 Per Litre
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) has revealed that it purchased petrol from Dangote refinery at N898 per litre. This disclosure contradicts earlier reports claiming the purchase price was N760 per litre.
NNPC Spokesman Olufemi Soneye confirmed the correct price, stating, “For this initial loading, the price from the refinery was N898 per litre.” As of the report, over 70 trucks had been loaded with petrol from the refinery.
The Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, had announced that NNPC would be the sole off-taker of refined petrol from Dangote refinery. Diesel from the refinery will be sold in Naira to interested off-takers, while petrol will be sold exclusively to NNPC, which will then distribute it to various marketers.
