The Ogun State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has expressed concern over private school owners’ failure to adhere to government policies. Commissioner Abayomi Arigbabu met with private school associations, citing unacceptable violations, including:
- Ignoring government decisions on resumption dates and curriculum
- Failing to register students for Basic Education Certificate Examination
- Allowing unregistered students to take exams
- Giving unauthorized double promotions
Arigbabu warned that non-compliant schools will face sanctions, including closure. He emphasized the need for a revitalized education system.
