The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) confirmed the election’s conclusion. The swearing-in ceremony will take place at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt.

Despite pre-election concerns and incidents of violence, voter turnout was substantial. The exercise began early, albeit without police presence due to a court order. A Federal High Court in Abuja had restrained security agencies from providing security.
