As a result, pilgrims may have to pay up to N10 million (approximately $6,000) for the 2025 Hajj, based on the current exchange rate of over N1,600/$1.
In 2024, the Federal Government provided a subsidy of N90 billion to support intending pilgrims. However, NAHCON has yet to fix deposit fares for the 2025 Hajj.
