Cross River Governor Bassey Otu Advocates for Unity and Interfaith Harmony
Cross River State Governor, Bassey Otu, emphasized the importance of harmony in fostering a sense of belonging during the two-day Interfaith Unity Conference of Jama’atu Nasril Islam. He highlighted the benefits of interfaith and intertribal unions in promoting peaceful coexistence.
Otu stressed that Nigeria’s unity is indissoluble and urged those contemplating secession to reconsider. He noted that division and lack of understanding are the root causes of obstacles.
The Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, praised Governor Otu’s dedication to promoting interfaith harmony and peaceful coexistence.
This conference aims to strengthen unity among different tribes and faiths in Nigeria.
