President Bola Tinubu has endorsed Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, for the Ondo State governorship election on Saturday. Vice President Kashim Shettima represented Tinubu at the APC campaign finale in Akure, alongside governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Abiodun Oyebanji (Ekiti), and Hope Uzodinma (Imo) ¹.
Tinubu urged Ondo State residents to vote en masse for Aiyedatiwa, stating that the APC deserves their votes due to the state’s recent attention. Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude, noting that his late boss, former Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, would have supported his victory ¹.
Other notable attendees included Ministers Gboyega Oyetola, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and Ayo Olawande, as well as Senators Opeyemi Bamidele and Adams Oshiomhole. The APC is rallying support for Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Olayide Adelami, ahead of the election ¹.
