Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has reaffirmed his commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), vowing to fight for justice and fairness within the party. Wike, who spoke at a media parley marking his one year in office, emphasized his dedication to correcting injustices and protecting members’ rights.
Despite facing opposition from within the party, particularly from former presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar and Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara, Wike remains resolute in his decision to stay in the PDP. He declared, “I will not leave PDP even when the fight gets tougher. I will fight to the last. I am not prepared to join the APC.”
Wike’s stance comes after President Bola Tinubu appointed him as FCT Minister, a move seen as an attempt to placate him amidst the internal party conflicts. However, Wike remains focused on his task and is determined to address the injustices within the party.
