Abducted medical students: Bring my son back alive, mother begs Tinubu

A mother’s plea for help: Cecilia Faga, the mother of one of the 20 abducted medical students, begged President Bola Tinubu to ensure the safe rescue of her son, Kwaghaondo Kingsley, and the other victims. The students were kidnapped along the Otirkpo-Enugu road while traveling to a program in Enugu.

Cecilia, still reeling from the shock of her son’s abduction, recounted her struggles to raise his school fees and pleaded with the President to bring him back alive. She expressed her trauma and concern for the students’ safety, saying, “Please, let anyone who can help bring back my son do so because the thoughts of it are weighing me down.”

Gad Peter, Chairman of the University of Jos Alumni Association in Plateau State, condemned the abduction, describing it as a threat to education and knowledge. He called for the release of the students and the arrest of the perpetrators.

The Plateau State Police Command’s spokesman, Alabo Alfred, was unavailable for comment. The abduction has left the families and loved ones of the victims in distress, seeking help and assistance to ensure their safe return.
