The Enugu State Police Command has confirmed the kidnapping of three students from the State College of Health Technology in Oji-River. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening when gunmen, suspected to be herdsmen, invaded the school complex and abducted the students. Two students have been rescued, while three others are still missing. The police have dismissed a viral video claiming that countless students were kidnapped, describing it as “mischief and misinformation.” The Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, has ordered operatives to locate and rescue the missing victims and apprehend the perpetrators. He cautioned against spreading false information that could create panic and jeopardize police operations. The police are working to ensure the safe return of the remaining students and to bring the abductors to justice.
