Mrs. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, daughter of President Bola Tinubu and Iyaloja-General, has successfully resolved the crisis between the Lagos State Butchers Association and the National Butchers Union of Nigeria. The dispute had been ongoing, with the Lagos State chapter attempting to withdraw from the national body.
Tinubu-Ojo mediated a meeting between the union’s National President, John Adun, and other stakeholders, urging them to maintain peace and work collaboratively. She emphasized the importance of resolving disputes swiftly to prevent escalation into violence or public unrest.
Tinubu-Ojo cautioned against greed and betrayal among leaders, stressing the need for unity and fair distribution of welfare among all members. She instructed a union member to present relevant sections of the union’s constitution to reinforce the necessity for unity.
Following the resolution, Elder Shola Adetele was appointed as the interim chairman of the state union by the national body. Adetele expressed gratitude to Tinubu-Ojo and committed to fostering an inclusive administration that prioritizes the welfare of all members while collaborating closely with the national body.
