However, Utsev announced that President Tinubu has approved funds for its completion, aiming to provide water, generate hydro-power, and support irrigation. The minister emphasized that the project’s completion will yield significant benefits, including job creation, enhanced agriculture, and increased food production.

Utsev highlighted that about 70% of the project has been completed, with the remaining work focusing on installing hydro-power components and completing water supply and irrigation aspects. He also mentioned that the ministry has successfully commissioned several dams and water supply schemes across the country.
