Former Osun State House of Assembly member, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the ongoing fuel scarcity crisis in Nigeria. Oyintiloye stated that Nigerians are already facing significant hardship and should not have to endure the additional burden of queuing daily for fuel.
Despite the removal of fuel subsidies, the situation has worsened, with Nigerians struggling to access fuel at exorbitant prices. Oyintiloye appealed to President Tinubu to investigate the activities of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) to identify the root cause of the persistent scarcity.
The former lawmaker suggested that revamping Nigeria’s four refineries could resolve the fuel scarcity issue. He emphasized the need for urgent presidential intervention, as the burden on the masses is becoming unbearable.
