Professor Dantani Wushishi, Registrar and Chief Executive of the National Examinations Council (NECO), has been elected to the Executive Council of the Association for Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA). He will serve as the West Africa Representative in the eight-member council, which aims to promote cooperation among examining and assessment bodies in Africa.
The election took place at the 40th Conference of AEAA, held in Cape Town, South Africa, from August 19 to 23, 2024. The conference brought together over 21 active primary members and other institutions from across the world to discuss the theme “Reimaging Education Assessment In The Age Of Multiple Dimensions of Learning In A Global Society.”
As a member of the Executive Council, Prof. Wushishi will contribute to the harmonization of educational assessment in Africa. His election recognizes NECO’s commitment to excellence in educational assessment and its role in promoting regional cooperation.
