Several Terrorists Killed As Air Force Strikes Forest In Kaduna

The Nigerian Air Force has conducted successful air strikes on terrorist strongholds in Kaduna, Zamfara, and Niger states, resulting in the elimination of several terrorists. The operations were carried out by the Air Component of Operation Whirl Punch and targeted terrorists responsible for recent attacks on civilians, abductions, and cattle rustling.

In Kaduna State, the air strike was conducted on the Malum Forest, where terrorists had relocated from Alawa Forest in Niger State. The operation resulted in the killing of several terrorists, according to battle damage assessment and feedback from local sources.

Similar strikes were also conducted on terrorists’ hideouts at Bayan Ruwa in Maradun LGA of Zamfara State, where terrorists were tracked to zinced-roofed structures in a vegetated area. The targets were acquired and engaged in successive passes, resulting in the elimination of several terrorists.

In addition to these operations, the Air Component of Operation Delta Safe conducted patrols over Ohaji/Egbema in Imo State and Degema and Cawthorne Channel in Rivers State, leading to the destruction of several illegal refining sites and overhead tanks. Over 25 illegal sites were destroyed, and a leaking pipeline was observed in Greenville, Rivers State.

The Nigerian Air Force has reiterated its commitment to eliminating terrorism and insecurity in the country, and these operations demonstrate its capability and resolve to achieve this goal.
