Tinubu stressed that global challenges can be addressed through cooperation, emphasizing trust, mutual respect, and common objectives. He expressed optimism about the partnership’s future, driven by a bold collective vision.
The President acknowledged significant milestones, including China’s financial aid, developmental initiatives, and cultural exchanges since FOCAC’s establishment in 2000. He highlighted the flourishing economic relationship, with trade reaching $280 billion, and anticipated continued progress.
President Xi Jinping announced a $50 billion financial aid package for Africa and additional military assistance. He proposed 10 partnership actions to advance modernization, covering areas like trade, industrial chain cooperation, and green economic development.
China will provide RMB360 billion yuan in financial support over three years, including RMB210 billion yuan in credit lines, RMB80 billion yuan in assistance, and at least RMB70 billion yuan in investment.
