Food critic Opeyemi Famakin has accused Cubana Chiefpriest, a prominent entertainment figure, of threatening his life over a negative review of his restaurant. Famakin had visited Cubana Chiefpriest’s restaurant in Imo State and shared his thoughts online, praising the ambiance but criticizing the pre-made and microwaved pastries.
Initially, Cubana Chiefpriest responded graciously, thanking Famakin for visiting. However, things took a darker turn when Famakin shared screenshots of their private conversation, in which Cubana Chiefpriest allegedly wrote, “Karma is real, you must pay for whatever you sow in life… I leave lowlifes to karma.”
Famakin interpreted this as a threat and has called on the public to hold Cubana Chiefpriest accountable if anything happens to him. He emphasized the contrast between Cubana Chiefpriest’s polite public response and the ominous tone in their private exchange.
