Jigawa State Declares September 17 a Work-Free Day for Maulud Celebration
The Jigawa State Government has announced Tuesday, September 17, 2024, as a work-free day to commemorate the Eidel-Maulud, the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).
This declaration was made by the State Head of Service, Alhaji Muhammad K. Dagaceri, in a statement released to journalists. The statement congratulated Muslim faithful in Jigawa State and across the country on this year’s occasion.
Governor Malam Umar Namadi, through the Head of Service, encouraged workers to utilize the day for prayers, seeking Allah’s protection and guidance.
This public holiday allows citizens to observe and celebrate the significant religious occasion, promoting unity and spiritual reflection within the community.
