PDP Leaders, Governors, and Atiku Abubakar Arrive in Edo for Final Campaign Rally
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has kicked off its final campaign rally in Benin City, Edo State, ahead of the gubernatorial poll on September 21. Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Acting National Chairman Iliya Damagum, and several state governors arrived in the state for the event.
Governors in attendance include Bala Mohammed of Bauchi, Siminialayi Fubara of Rivers, Douye Diri of Bayelsa, Peter Mbah of Enugu, and Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State. They were received by Governor Godwin Obaseki and PDP gubernatorial candidate Asue Ighodalo.
The PDP leaders also paid a birthday visit to the Esama of Benin Kingdom, Gabriel Igbinedion, at his residence in Benin City. The visit was a show of respect and admiration for Igbinedion’s 90th birthday and his contributions to Nigerian society.
The party emphasized its commitment to honoring esteemed leaders and fostering unity among Nigerians. The final campaign rally is a crucial event for the PDP ahead of the Edo State gubernatorial election.
