Capital market critical to Tinubu’s trillion-dollar economy target — Shettima

Vice President Kashim Shettima emphasized the crucial role of Nigeria’s capital market in achieving the Federal Government’s goal of a trillion-dollar economy. He made this statement while receiving the Association of Capital Market Academics of Nigeria (ACMAN) executives, led by Prof. Uche Uwaleke.

Shettima highlighted the importance of skill sets and leadership in driving progress, saying, “The capital market has a prominent role to play in pushing us to the one trillion-dollar economy.” He praised capital market experts’ efforts and encouraged ACMAN to collaborate with the administration to develop solutions for Nigeria’s economic needs.

ACMAN President Uwaleke explained that the association aims to strengthen ties between academia and industry. The organization conferred its highest membership status, Fellowship of Capital Market Academics, on Vice President Shettima, recognizing his role as Chairman of the National Economic Council.
