Tragedy struck in Jigawa State yesterday, September 19, 2024, when 40-year-old Jibrin Adamu took his own life by hanging himself in a classroom at Miftahul Khairat Islamiyya And Primary School Gurdiba in Jigawar Maroka village, Kiyawa Local Government Area ¹. According to DSP Lawan Shiisu, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Jibrin suffered from mental health issues and had a history of disappearing for days before returning home.

The corpse was later taken to Dutse General Hospital, where a medical doctor confirmed his death, and the remains were released to his family for burial.
