The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Chairman, Ola Olukoyede, has ordered an investigation into bribery allegations involving some EFCC officers and social media influencer Bobrisky.
In a viral video, Bobrisky claimed EFCC officers collected N15 million from him to drop money laundering charges. Olukoyede constituted a team to investigate and invited Bobrisky and the video’s poster, Martins Vincent Otse, to assist.
The EFCC assured the public that the allegations would be thoroughly investigated and findings made public.
The EFCC’s statement read: “To this end, the Commission hereby invites both Okuneye and Otse to make themselves available at its Lagos directorate to assist investigators unearth the alleged bribery.”
This development demonstrates the EFCC’s commitment to transparency and accountability.
