Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has lifted the suspension of four officials in his government, including two commissioners and two aides, just two months after they were suspended. The officials reinstated are:
- Chrysanthus Dawam: Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning
- Jamila Tukur: Commissioner for Tourism, Culture, and Hospitality
- Dio Lamul: Special Adviser on Rural Development
- Moses Sule: Liaison Officer for Mikang Constituency
According to Dr. Gyang Bere, Director of Press and Public Affairs, the governor made this decision after a thorough review of their conduct during the suspension period, noting significant improvements ¹. The suspension was initially announced in August by Governor Mutfwang.
This development comes as Plateau State celebrates Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day, with Governor Mutfwang previously honoring Oluremi Tinubu’s 64th birthday ¹. Other recent news from Plateau State includes the approval of N5.8 billion for local government elections and plans to construct 55 new secondary schools ¹.
