Atiku Abubakar Offers Condolences to Niger State Over Boat Accident
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has extended his condolences to Governor Mohammed Bago and the people of Niger State following a tragic boat accident that claimed 42 lives.
In a statement, Atiku described the disaster as harrowing, particularly due to its occurrence at night, which complicated rescue operations. He praised local authorities and volunteers for their tireless efforts.
Atiku shared in the grief of the bereaved families and stood in solidarity with the government and people of Niger State. He wished swift recovery for those receiving treatment and offered prayers for the departed souls.
The boat accident resulted in 36 corpses recovered, with nine initially reported. President Bola Tinubu also mourned the victims.
