Yul Edochie Criticizes Nigerians for Ignoring Ancestral Heritage
Nollywood actor-turned-preacher Yul Edochie has condemned Nigerians for being more knowledgeable about biblical history than their own ancestral heritage.
Yul stated that Nigerians have been brainwashed with biblical narratives, knowing everything about Moses, Isaac, and Jacob but nothing about their own ancestors and their exploits.
He emphasized the importance of rediscovering cultural identity and exploring historical narratives specific to Nigeria, rather than solely focusing on biblical personalities.
Yul wrote on Facebook: “If you don’t know who you are and where you are coming from, you will never know where you are heading to.”
This commentary comes after Yul unveiled his church, True Salvation Ministry (TSM), in January 2024.
