Nollywood Actress Toyin Abraham Denies Debt Allegations
Toyin Abraham, a renowned Nollywood actress, has responded to accusations of owing a fashion designer, @stitchesbyandra, millions of naira for over a year. The designer claimed that Abraham, alongside Annie Idibia and Gabriel Anthony, had failed to pay for services rendered.
Abraham took to Instagram to clarify the situation, stating that the allegations were misunderstood. She explained that during the production of her movie, Malaika, the fashion designer provided dresses for a runway scene. However, Abraham maintained that she paid in full for a hairpiece and borrowed the dresses, which were later returned to Gabriel, who brought them to the set.
Abraham denied any outstanding debt, stating that Gabriel confirmed returning the dresses to the designer. She expressed surprise at the online allegations and hoped her explanation would clear up the confusion.
This development comes amidst Abraham’s recent controversies surrounding her political views and personal life. The actress has faced backlash for her support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and has since vowed to keep her political inclinations private.
The incident highlights the importance of clear communication and understanding in business transactions, particularly in the entertainment industry. It also underscores the need for celebrities to address false allegations promptly to maintain their reputation.
