The Nasarawa State Police Command has made a significant breakthrough in combating crime by arresting four suspected armed robbers and recovering a stolen vehicle. The operation, which was intelligence-led, was conducted in collaboration with the Niger State Police Command and targeted criminals in the Karu Local Government Area ¹.
The suspects, identified as Salim Hussaini, Abdulkadir Musa, Dimas Danja, and Mohammed Aliyu Abubakar, were apprehended by operatives attached to the Mararaba ‘A’ Division and the New Karu area. A fabricated rifle, knife, and criminal charms were recovered during the operation, along with a blue Toyota Camry with registration number RBC 980 DA ¹.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramhan Nansel, the suspects have confessed to belonging to a gang of armed robbers terrorizing the Mararaba area and its environs. The Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, has urged the owner of the stolen vehicle to come forward with proof of ownership to claim the recovered vehicle.
