Adamawa State Police Command has arrested 37-year-old Fatima Abubakar for allegedly torturing two toddlers in her care in Yola South Local Government Area.

According to police spokesman Suleiman Nguroje, Abubakar subjected the children to abuse after they urinated and defecated inside the house. Neighbors reported that Abubakar, who is childless, had a history of maltreating the children, including denying them food.
The police took Abubakar into custody after physically assaulting a two-year-old girl and a young boy. She confessed to the crimes after her arrest on Saturday.

The Commissioner of Police, Morris Dankombo, has ordered that she be charged to court.
