Lagos Boat Accident: Three Corpses Recovered, Ferry Manager Arrested

A boat accident occurred on Monday in Imore town, Amuwo-Odofin Local Government Area, Lagos. The boat, “Only God 13,” carrying 15 passengers, collided with a wooden boat carrying 10 passengers.
Lagos State Police Command reported that three corpses were recovered on Wednesday, with rescue operations ongoing. Five passengers from the wooden boat sustained injuries.

The Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) stated that all 15 passengers on the “Only God 13” boat were rescued safely.
The National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) arrested the manager of “Only God Ferry” for negligence and non-compliance with safety regulations.
