Ogun LG Polls: OGSIEC to Publish List of Successful Candidates on Monday
The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has announced that it will publish the list of successful candidates for the upcoming local government polls on Monday, October 14, 2024.
Chairman Babatunde Osibodu expressed satisfaction with the screening exercise, which was conducted seamlessly across the state’s three Senatorial Districts.
“I guarantee you that at the end of it, everybody will see that we are fair,” Osibodu assured.
Commissioner Tunji Akoni encouraged aspirants to engage directly with voters and ensure their campaigns reach the grassroots, reassuring that OGSIEC would conduct a free, fair, and credible election.
Commissioner Gbemi Onasanya stressed the importance of parties presenting trustworthy and loyal agents to protect their votes on election day.
Candidates, including Azeez Balogun, Babatunde Diya, and Theophilus Olorode, commended OGSIEC for its preparedness and professionalism during the screening.
