Delta Police Arrest Man for Stabbing Sex Worker Over Payment Dispute

A man, identified as Mr. Daniel, has been arrested by the Delta State Police Command for allegedly stabbing a sex worker at Apple Inn brothel in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area.

According to sources, the incident occurred on Friday night after an altercation over payment. Daniel, a regular customer, refused to pay the agreed fee, claiming the sex worker denied him ejaculation during their third round.

The suspect allegedly stabbed the victim with a knife, possibly taken from her kitchen, and dragged it downward. The victim, whose identity remains unknown, was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

A senior police officer confirmed the arrest, stating that officers from the Agbor Division responded to a distress call and found the victim in a pool of blood. The suspect was almost lynched by an angry mob.

Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, said he had contacted the Agbor Division’s DPO, who promised to provide more information.

This incident highlights concerns about violence against sex workers and the need for improved safety measures.
