Obi specifically condemned the ambush killing of Supersports TV crew members and a policeman along the Ihiala-Orlu Road in Anambra State. The victims were en route to cover the Super Eagles’ 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The former Anambra State governor expressed concern over non-state actors inflicting pain and sorrow on families through kidnappings and gruesome killings. He also cited a recent terror attack in Benue State’s Agatu local government area.
