A two-storey building on Amusu Street in the Orile Iganmu area of Lagos State collapsed early Monday morning, sending nearby residents scrambling for safety ¹. Fortunately, according to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), no casualties were reported as the building had been evacuated before the collapse.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m., with emergency responders quickly arriving at the scene. LASEMA’s Head of Public Affairs, Mr. Nosa Okunbor, confirmed that the building collapsed on its own and that no one was harmed.
