War: Israel says strikes in Iran completed

Israel has announced the completion of its airstrikes on Iran, marking the end of its “targeted” attacks against military targets in the country ¹. The Israeli military launched direct airstrikes on Iran on Saturday, October 26, 2024, with at least seven explosions reported over Tehran and nearby Karaj just after 2:30 a.m. local time.

The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) stated that the strikes were in response to Iran’s recent missile attack on Israel on October 1, 2024, and the continuous attacks from Iranian proxies ¹. The operation, codenamed “Operation Days of Repentance,” involved over 100 aircraft, including F-35 Lightning II stealth fighters, traveling 2,000 kilometers and using heavy munitions.
