APGA Condemns Lawmaker’s Assault on Abuja Driver, Plans Sanctions
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has denounced the alleged assault of an e-hailing driver by Rep. Alex Ikwechegh, representing Aba North and South Federal Constituency. A viral video showed Ikwechegh assaulting a Bolt driver at his residence.
APGA’s National Publicity Secretary, Mazi Ejimofor Opara, stated that Ikwechegh’s actions are “condemnable in all ramifications” and fall short of the party’s constitution. APGA plans to set up a disciplinary committee to investigate and potentially sanction Ikwechegh.
The party emphasized its commitment to upholding human rights and dignity, expecting all members and elected officials to exhibit high standards of decorum and integrity.
