President Tinubu Approves N10 Billion for FCT Youth Empowerment
Nigerian President Bola Tinubu has approved a N10 billion Youth Development Fund to empower youths in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), according to Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike.
The fund, part of the FCT’s supplementary budget, aims to support youth growth and development. Wike noted that the president created the Women Affairs Secretariat and Youth Development Secretariat, appointing a youth to head the latter.
The empowerment program is slated for inauguration on Thursday. Wike urged residents to support the initiative, stating that it marks a significant milestone in the FCT’s history.
This development follows the Senate’s approval of the 2024 FCT statutory budget of N1.282 trillion.
