Argentine football superstar Lionel Messi has revealed he has no plans to become a coach after retiring from playing.
In an interview with Fabrizio Romano, Messi stated, “I wouldn’t like to be a coach… I value much more than before everything I do on a day-to-day basis, so I just think about playing, training, and having fun.”
Regarding the 2026 World Cup, Messi expressed uncertainty, saying, “I don’t know… I want to see what happens, to realize how I feel.”
Messi reflected on his legacy, expressing gratitude for his achievements, including winning the World Cup and numerous titles with Barcelona and Argentina.
He also discussed his ambitions with Inter Miami, saying, “We want to win the MLS… We have to keep growing to be great within the MLS and, why not, within the world.”
