Kaduna PDP Vows to Challenge Local Government Election Results in Court
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State has condemned the October 19 local government elections, describing them as a “shame” and an “attack on democracy.”
The party alleges that the elections were not free and fair, with the All Progressives Congress (APC) winning all 23 chairmanship and 255 councilorship seats.
PDP has vowed to challenge the election results in court, stating that the exercise was “clandestine” and that the sworn-in chairmen were “impostors.”
The party claims that no legitimate election took place on October 19 and that any subsequent actions, including the issuance of certificates and swearing-in, are invalid.
Kaduna State Independent Electoral Commission (KADSIECOM) had declared APC winners in all positions.
PDP has assured its supporters that it is taking legal action to address the situation.
