Governor Yusuf, who visited the court to assess the damage, expressed concern that the corruption charges against Ganduje, who is also the APC National Chairman, had been compromised. He described the vandalism as a “master-minded and staged-managed mission” aimed at averting corruption charges against Ganduje and his associates.

The governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, stated that the miscreants destroyed various units of the High Court, including the office of the state Chief Judge, and stole office equipment, cars, and other materials crucial to the dispensation of justice.

Governor Yusuf urged youths in the state to refrain from being used by detractors to engage in violence and instead focus on acquiring skills for a better future. He assured the people of Kano State that the government would not relent in securing their lives and property.

The incident has raised concerns about the integrity of the judicial process and the ability to hold public officials accountable for corruption. The governor’s statement suggests that the vandalism was a deliberate attempt to disrupt the corruption trial, and efforts will be made to recover the lost documents and ensure justice is served.
